Sorry if it was posted before but here's some ambient sound from the Jerez testing, with a few 2013 cars threw in for comparison's sake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vxGTfkN-ng
I don't think it's that bad, but the low RPM gear changes will take a while to be used to...
So I went with some friends to an abandoned house in a nearby town, and the idea was to try some "creepy" styled photos. Moderately happy with the results.
This was my first real use of the Olympus E-M5 and I'm in love with the thing. I'm still a long way to learning what it can do and the kit lens, although not bad in image quality, is too damn slow - combine that with the dark indoors.
Also, I'm not that comfortable using the viewfinder with glasses, it's weird. Does anyone do that as well? Any tips? I never used a viewfinder before.
Long story short, a lot of photos came out worse than I saw at the time from the VF/LCD screen. The next ones will be better.
Sorry if these questions are stupid/answered before! It's been a while, specially concerning LFS, but...
So you're actually using just the closer track sections for references (3 sections, if I got that right)?
Could you 'lock' on a more distant marker (say you're on a straight and you can see the '100m for turn' marker quite further ahead) and completely ignore the closer markers? I guess that's how we work.
Will the AI know that in the next lap the markers are the same?
Also, how do you know that the marker is not visible, that some terrain is blocking it?
I've had very limited time with the new patch, but the F40 was very... frustrating. I must be doing something really wrong (or my controllers are wrong), seeing as most people are having the fun of their lives!
I have no idea, would be interested in that as well.
Sure, but I have no idea where to find it! But all I did was lower tyre pressures by 1 click on fronts and 2 clicks on rears, and a click or two more camber on rears. Not sure that even works as I wanted.
Just did 20-something laps with the 12C at Mugello, lovely combo!
Best time was 2:04:28 which put me in 7th in that Rivali thing (best time was 2:02 if I'm not mistaken, and there seems to be around 15 competitive laptimes only).
There's still loads more to improve, spun a few times on corner entries (I find that very hard to catch :schwitz, missed 90% of the apexes, but boy is that fun!
What, matches at 13:00 local time? I hope you guys find a way to get used to the heat.
Wait... June is winter, eh? Will be funny at times. Poor Honduras will play at cold temps (extreme south) on June 20th and, after travelling 3000km, at wet hot temps (north, rain forest) on June 25th. Good luck to them.
Argentina, Germany and Belgium are safe bets for group wins. Bloody group D will have at least one nice team leaving early.
I'm on high 1:56's on that combo, but already feels like I'm gonna destroy the car any second. Which actually happens.
Looking at Mysho's video, my lines and braking points aren't that far off, guess I'm just slow You also seem to apply a quite a bit more lock than me.
But Mugello is so much nicer that I'm finding it very hard to let go of it.
I know I'm bad, but when going fast I feel like I'm gonna spin at any moment, which is awesome. :P
Feels kind of LFS-ish, but more visceral. Love the bumps, specially on brake zones. I'm happy with force feedback as well. Can't go past medium settings with a Radeon 7790, but looks amazing even like this.
Still long ways to go until a full game, but very good start.
E: sorry Troy, just updated mine. Where did you get that info anyway? I can't seem to find any changelog on the website or Steam.
Belgium has got a very talented team, can't wait to see them do well on the World Cup!
Agree to Fastwalker that Germany is ahead of us. Maybe Spain in a good day. Italy is always strong, and if Argentina get their shit together, they're really strong too.
I don't know what to expect from our team, really.
I'm just hoping stadiums get ready in time and they don't fall on our heads... If you can actually drive to the stadiums, that is...
Then I'll just hope they tear those fake-stadiums-that-won't-see-another-game-again down and give me my money back!
